Sam Uley
WHO: Sam Uley leads the wolf pack in La Push, Washington, since he is the alpha male of the group. He’s tall, and has black hair and brown eyes. In wolf form, he’s described to be as tall as a horse, and very muscular with a coat of black fur. When the Cullens moved back to Forks, he was the first to transform into a wolf, and slowly the others followed suit. For those that weren’t in the "cult" that was forming, they were completely clueless to what was happening and feared being recruited by Sam and his boys.
HIGH SCHOOL DAYS: In his high school days, he dated Leah Clearwater. And apparently he was brainy enough to earn a scholarship for college, but because of the obvious difficulties of juggling his werewolf duties and college life, he had to forego his college opportunity and declined the scholarship.
DANGEROUS LOVE: Although Sam and Leah were likely happy together, their relationship ended once Sam imprinted on Emily, Leah’s cousin. The bond that occurs when one imprints on another is pretty impossible to break. Imprinting is akin to finding your soulmate so naturally Sam became engaged to Emily. But, no matter how much he loves her, accidents can happen. You can find proof of this in the scars on Emily’s face and hand. Unfortunately, Emily was standing a little too close to Sam one time when he lost his temper. He phased into his wolf form so quickly and swiped at Emily, which is something he’ll never forgive himself for. Regardless, their love for each other is as strong as can be.
