Merchandise Monday: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse DVD

Even if you’ve seen The Twilight Saga: Eclipse movie in the theaters, the Eclipse DVD is a must-have for any Twilight fan. The third movie adapted from the Twilight books by Stephenie Meyer focuses on the intense love triangle between Bella, Edward and Jacob as Bella struggles with who to choose knowing her decision could result in serious consequences. Meanwhile an army of newborn vampires, led by the cutie Xavier Samuel’s Riley Biers, threatens Bella’s life, as the Volturi watch the drama play out.

The special features on the Eclipse DVD include:

Commentary by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart:
Rob’s candidness and humor and Kristen’s reactions provide so much entertainment. Watch the famous bedroom scene and listen to Rob ask why people think the leg hitch scene is such a big deal. Really, Rob? You’d think he’d understand his fans by now.

Commentary by Twilight author, Stephenie Meyer and Producer Wyck Godfrey:
Stephenie Meyer, the one who made it impossible for guys to live up to be the perfect boyfriend, shares in commentary duties with Producer Wyck Godfrey.

Six-Part “Making Of” Documentary:
This cool six-part documentary takes you behind the scenes and includes all the techie stuff you’d ever want to know about filming Eclipse, the fun “Taylor Time” featuring Taylor Lautner catching grapes in his mouth, and much more.

Deleted and Extended Scenes:
The deleted scenes from the movie include one with Angela and Bella, and another one between Charlie and Bella. The extended scenes contain longer versions of Rosalie’s conversation with Bella and her flashback, Riley yelling at the newborns, the Cullens talking about the destruction in Seattle, and more. Personally I would have rather watched a blooper reel. I mean, they’re a pretty young cast that seems like they have fun together, so why not show us the goofy stuff? Regardless, the deleted and extended scenes are appreciated especially with commentary by Director David Slade.

Jump To Feature:
This special feature is genius since it allows you to skip to all the Edward scenes. Or I suppose if you’re on Team Jacob, then you can jump to all to the Jacob scenes. Isn’t that fancy? Gotta love technology.

Music Videos:
Two music videos for songs on the soundtrack include “Neutron Star Collision” by Muse and “Eclipse (All Yours)” by Metric.
