New Moon, the second installment in the Twilight Saga movies, is probably the least of my favorite of the series so far. Nonetheless, Taylor Lautner’s performance as Jacob Black forced heads to turn as he nearly swayed many an Edward Cullen fan to second guess their loyalty to their favorite sparkly vampire.
Don’t fret if you are a die-hard Edward fan though, because unlike the book, Director Chris Weitz smartly added more Edward scenes to entice you to see the movie. Plus, a bit more action is provided, including some scenes that involve some shirtless boys who may or may not morph into werewolves. Let us not forget that the Volturi make their first appearance in the Twilight Saga in this movie as well. It’s fun to see Dakota Fanning as the creepy and powerful Jane and Michael Sheen as Aro is quite a delight as the leader of the Volturi.
Some of the special features that may be included are:
Audio commentary with Director Chris Weitz and Editor Peter Lambor
Six-part behind the scenes documentary
Exclusive band rehearsal footage with Muse (who appear on the soundtrack)
Music videos from other soundtrack artists: Death Cab for Cutie, Anya and Mute Math
Make sure you add to your Twilight Saga collection by getting the New Moon DVD
. And as always, feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below either on the movie or specifically the DVD!
