Jared
WHO: Jared is another member of the La Push "gang", the group of boys that roam around sans shirts and also seem to get bigger and bigger each day. He is described as having to have long, rounded muscles, red brown skin and really short black hair. Although he’s not as tall as Sam Uley, the leader of the pack, he’s a husky guy, but quick.
SHIFTY CHARACTER? After Paul shapeshifted into a werewolf, Jared was the next to change. In wolf form, he has short, thick, brown fur and shares all the other wolf characteristics that his "brothers" possess. These special traits include telepathy within the pack, delayed aging, advanced healing, heightened senses, endurance, durability and strength. Showing loyalty to his brothers, he took part in the battle against the newborn army, but wasn’t seriously hurt.
NOT JUST A SCHOOL CRUSH: Werewolves tend to imprint on others that are supposedly their soulmates. Jared found his soulmate in his classmate, Kim. Before he imprinted on her, he had paid her no attention even though she had a crush on him. Interesting how imprinting works. They just never know who they’ll be drawn to (if you’ve read Breaking Dawn, you’ll see just how interesting imprinting can be).
