James
WHO: James (Witherdale) is a nomadic vampire that drinks human blood, unlike the Cullen family who drink only animal blood. Because of drinking human blood, James’ eyes are blood-red instead of gold, which contributes highly to his creepiness factor. He is described as average looking with light brown hair. However, Movie James has dirty blond hair that’s pulled back into a ponytail, and has this gritty rock star style. You can dirty Movie James up and attempt to make him average looking, but you can’t hide those rock hard abs. Ahem.
THE COVEN: James is the leader of a small coven of three, which is a typical size of nomadic vampires, and includes his mate, Victoria, and Laurent. While Laurent likely keeps company with them so that he’s not alone, Victoria and James have a strong bond. Their relationship is so intense that if you scorn one of them, you scorn the other, so enemies beware.
TRACK STAR? According to Laurent, James is a highly skilled tracker who’s very lethal and has unparalleled senses in finding his victims. James takes much pleasure in hunting (humans, obviously), and thinks of it as a sport or a game. He loves a challenge so much that when Edward protected Bella so fiercely, it gave him all the more reason to go after Bella and hunt her down. If you watched Twilight or read the book, or if you have even the slightest clue, you know what happened with that “game”.
As skilled as James is, he was thwarted once before from capturing one of his potential victims. This particular girl escaped being his prey by being turned into a vampire herself. Once she became a vampire, James immediately lost interest in her.
